Jan Cameron is a philanthropist with a deep concern about the environment and the threat of climate change.

Jan shuns the spotlight but has developed a reputation for making prudent investments. In the 1970’s she founded the adventure retail company Kathmandu as well as high-end home wares stores Nood (New Objects Of Desire) and Dog’s Breakfast.

CHARLIE LIVESEY
project manager

Charlie has a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma of Environmental Studies (Honours) from the University of Tasmania.

He has seven years experience with state governments in Australia working on a diverse range of natural and cultural resource management projects to do with both marine and terrestrial environments.

Before joining Redd Forests Charlie worked as the Conservation Programs Manager for the Tasmanian Land Conservancy where he managed the design and implementation of conservation projects on private land and managed a team of conservation specialist state-wide.

Charlie will be primarily managing the implementation of projects in Australia.

SARAH COLENBRANDER
project manager

Sarah graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.

During her studies, Sarah held the role of NSW Projects Team Leader with the Oaktree Foundation. In this capacity, she was responsible for designing and monitoring educational projects in India, Papua New Guinea and South Africa. She was also employed by Dowse CSP to research corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Sarah will be primarily managing the implementation of projects in Southeast Asia

STEPHEN DICKEY
managing director

Stephen is the founder and Managing Director of Redd Forests and has worked on climate change issues for the past 4 years firstly with Oxfam and WWF-Australia, as consultant to the carbon offsetting company Climate Friendly for whom he brokered a 50% sale of the company to Macquarie Bank and latterly as Managing director of CDRS Pty Ltd., a carbon market consultancy.

Stephen is an experienced senior manager having worked on four continents in regional or general manager positions with TNT, British Airways and Sabre Corporation and has successfully run his own business in the UK.

Stephen’s broad based international commercial experience, combined with his depth of knowledge on the science and practicalities of climate change give him a rare set of capabilities and perspectives to lead Redd Forests.

ANDREW RATCLIFFE

Andrew Ratcliffe is founder and executive director of Incon China. Incon China was set up to work with the Shenzhen Economic and Trade Representative Office( SETRO) to assist small to medium businesses to do business in China. Andrew is also a director of Sports Entertainment Asia and Smartframe Pty Ltd.

Andrew spent almost twenty years working in the Financial Sector. Commencing work with Price Waterhouse in 1977 Andrew subsequently held senior positions in the banking and finance sector with the ANZ Bank, First Pacific Limited and the stockbroker Dominguez Barry Samuel Montague (now UBS).

Andrew has a combined Commerce/ Law degree from UNSW and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. 

GERNOT HEISER

Gernot Heiser is Founder, Director and Chief Technology Officer of Open Kernel Labs (OK Labs), a high-tech startup headquartered in Chicago with all R&D based in Sydney.

Gernot is also John Lions Professor of Operating Systems at the University of New South Wales, and leader of the Embedded Operating-Systems research group at NICTA, Australia's Centre of Excellence in ICT research.

Gernot holds a BSc Physics from the University of Freiburg, Germany, an MSc in Physics from Brock University, Canada, and a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
